For those who have never heard of Interactive Media before, Interactive Media is a class where you understand the importance of how technology came to be and how to utilize the technology to make creative works, such as Adobe Illustrator (my vector images), Garage Band (My audio), and iMovie (like Safari Wonders). Eventually, you choose one three concentrations: Web and Application Design, Animation and Special Effects, or Video Game Design - and IM 113 (Intro to Interactive Media) is where everything starts. Here are some of the projects that I have finished this semester for you entertainment:
1)
1) Composition - This assignment is to basically make a movie poster, with some specific directions such as taking two new photos, two text layers containing the film name and names of actors, and at least one effect. Simple, right?
I created a poster of the recent and critically praised movie called "Warrior", which came out this year. And the reason I chose this movie was because I wanted to find a movie poster that was simple enough to recreate, but take my twist on the movie and make the poster my own. And this is how I came with final product - with me on one side, and my roommate, Dan Helm, on the other.
Note: All of the names that are listed in the credits (except for Greg and Gavin O'Connor) were either from my dorm floor (Heitz 2A) or were involved in the musical "Ragtime"!
2)
2) Video - In this project, I was assigned to a team to create a 30 sec - 1 min video about a joke. The project does include using Acting skills, Garage Band, and iMovie, as well as teamwork and collaboration on time management. In the end, we completed it with pride - enjoy!
